A Milestone in BRON’s Story
Twenty years ago, what we know today as Bron Ltd. (“BRON”) began as Caribbean Coastal Services (CCS), a small firm of dedicated professionals with a growing vision for island development. Over time, the company expanded its disciplines, strengthened its expertise, and evolved into a multidisciplinary development consulting group serving The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and beyond.
That growth has been shaped not only by major projects, bold ideas, and expanded services, but by the steady contributions of those who helped build the company from within.
This year, BRON celebrates Keith Darling, Sr. Structural Technician, who marks 20 years with the company. He is the first and only full-time team member, aside from the founder, to reach this milestone, making his journey a significant part of BRON’s history.
The Team’s Swiss Army Knife
Keith joined the company in its early days, when the team was small, and roles were flexible. With a background in architecture and experience in mechanical engineering, he transitioned into structural work through hands-on learning and steady exposure to the field. In those early years, he also supported other areas, including coastal projects, describing himself as a “Swiss Army knife” for the team.
That willingness to step in where needed has defined much of his career.
The Details Behind the Plans
Over time, Keith found his place in structural drafting. His technical knowledge, eye for detail, and understanding of how things are built have made him a reliable part of the Structural team. He has become known for working through complex details and helping translate structural concepts into clear plans for review and execution.
For Keith, one of the most rewarding parts of the work is seeing a drawing move from the screen to the real world. Structural drafting is often quiet, detailed work, but its impact is visible in the buildings and spaces people eventually use.
“When you look at it on a computer and then see it brought to life, knowing you contributed to it, that’s a great feeling,” he shared.
That sense of seeing his work take shape has helped keep him motivated over the years. His work may often happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in BRON’s purpose to Make Paradise Possible through thoughtful, well-executed solutions.
A Real Anchor for the Company
After two decades with the company, Keith’s dedication spans nearly BRON’s entire journey. He has seen the company grow, expand its expertise, and take on larger, more complex work. Through that growth, he has earned a reputation for reliability, adaptability, and technical expertise.
“Keith has been with us from the beginning, and over the years, he has been a real anchor for the company,” said Scott Blacquiere, Founder of CCS and BRON. “He has always been reliable, dedicated, and steady in his work. When you think about the people who helped shape BRON from its earliest days, Keith is certainly one of them.”
Winning as a Team
For Keith, what stands out most is not only the work itself, but the culture and relationships that have supported him along the way. He credits his commitment to BRON to the people around him, the value of a peaceful work environment, and leadership that allows people to feel grounded. For him, BRON has been a place where he could continue learning, grow in his craft, and feel supported by the team around him.
That spirit reflects one of BRON’s core values: Win as a team. Individual excellence is important, but lasting success comes from collaboration, trust, and people who take pride in doing their part well.
Keith’s 20-year journey is a reminder that meaningful impact is not always loud. Sometimes, it is found in the care, skill, and consistency someone brings to their work year after year.
Congratulations to Keith Darling on 20 years with BRON. Thank you for your dedication and the role you continue to play in helping BRON build better and make paradise possible.
